Wind Chimes

Yes - most of them sound pretty...except when - you live in an apartment and you live in Texas. Do they not hear them all night?? Do they not know that Texas wind does not gently make them touch and resound quiet tones - it stinkin' makes them CRASH together at 3am in the MORNING! Obviously they sleep soundly and never, ever hear their clashing wind "chimes"!

Driving with a Cell Phone

Now there are rules about not using your cell phone while driving in a school zone. So what did I see this morning you ask???

A child, riding his bike to ELEMENTARY school .... talking on his cell phone!

Is there not a rule about this?

Thanksgiving Lunch

Elementary school has Thanksgiving lunch. Parents come. This school always has a huge turnout. Interesting fact however...

I would guess that 9 out of 10 parents bring their kids fast food for lunch on this day. Me included - since she does not like (actually gets sick on) turkey.

I wonder what Thanksgiving will be like for the next generation. Will they be eating hamburgers and chicken nuggets?
